Volunteer Gardener / Groundskeeper

We are looking for someone who enjoys gardening/watering/weeding for our in town location. We have multiple plant beds, trees and sidewalks that need weekly attention. This weekly volunteer position would include flexible hours, outdoor conditions and an autonomous work environment. Volunteer groups are also welcome! CAYS Volunteer Risk Management / Compliance Coordinator

The CAYS organization in compliance with Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) is looking for a Compliance Coordinator volunteer.

Volunteer needed to serve as compliance coordinator for CAYS travel program coaches and assistants. Duties include reviewing coaches, assistant coaches and any other team or club officials uploaded clearances, training certificates and pictures in US Soccer Connect online system to ensure compliance with State Soccer Association (EPYSA) requirements and then signing off on them for approval to be added to rosters.

Requires 2-3 hours per week for approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the start of each soccer season. Occasional other hours needed as new coaches, assistants or team officials join the program.

Volunteer applicants will need:
• To have access to an internet connected device to log in to US Soccer Connect system.
• Have basic internet and software application abilities.
• Complete a YMCA volunteer paperwork packet and submit clearances and mandated reporter training certificate in addition to the requirements set forth by EPYSA.

CAYS Executive Committee will notify successful candidate of their appointment to the position which will also include a position with in the CAYS Executive Committee.

Concession Stand Help

The Carlisle Family YMCA Sports Department is looking for several people to help with our concession stand at the George B. Stuart Athletic Fields. We are looking for a concession stand monitor to be in the stand from 8am-3pm for Saturday games to make sure everything is organized. We also need someone to work the grill during games. In addition, we are looking for someone to be in charge of contacting the parents and organizing the concession stand schedule. Field Liner

The Carlisle Family YMCA Sports Department is looking for a volunteer to line the fields at the George B. Stuart Athletic Fields before weekend soccer games. Fields would need to be lined on Thursdays or Fridays and it takes about 5-6 hours to do the entire facility.

Housekeeping Volunteer

The Carlisle Family YMCA Maintenance Department is looking for a volunteer housekeeper. Duties would include cleaning windows, sweeping carpets, dusting floors and helping maintenance staff in their duties. Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Friday from 9-11am or 11am-1pm. Volunteer can choose the day(s) and times that work best for them.

Child Care Center Volunteers

The Carlisle Family YMCA is looking for volunteers for our STARS 4 Child Care Center. Volunteers can choose any two days of the week, from 8-10am and/or 3-5pm. Volunteers will assist the classroom teachers and will help children complete arts and crafts projects, read stories, interact with children during free play, help monitor children and interact on the playground, assist children with washing their hands, cleaning up, etc., and more. This opportunity is a great resume builder and will help build experience hours working with children. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers must have FBI Fingerprint clearance, Child Abuse clearance and State Police clearance, as well as a completed health assessment and TB test.

Swim Lessons Volunteer

The Carlisle Family YMCA is looking for volunteers to help with our evening swim lessons. Volunteers can choose either Mondays / Wednesdays from 6-7pm or Tuesdays / Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm. Sessions run for three weeks. Click here for the current schedule. Volunteers will assist the instructor in charge with the participants. The right candidates will be able to follow the lead instructor’s directions and assist with basic swim skills in the water.
