2019 Rally for the Y a Success!

posted by Michelle Bell | February 25, 2019

Thank you to everyone who rallied for the Y this year!

Thanks to the 49 riders on Team YMCA - Carlisle and all of their sponsors, we were able to raise $1,247.66 for our 2019 Annual Campaign through the Expresso Rally for the Y—surpassing our goal of $1,000 and over $420 more than we raised last year!

Dennis Stum won the $50 gift card for riding the most miles. He logged 850 miles and finished 26th out of 9,559 riders across the world. Great job Dennis! Brooke Wiseman was our top fundraiser with $373.85 and she also gets a $50 gift card. And congratulations to Maintenance Department employee Layton Brooks who was the winner of our staff challenge. All Y staff members who rode or donated to another rider were entered in a random drawing and Layton was the lucky winner!

Team YMCA - Carlisle finished 34th out of 341 teams in miles ridden (3,367) and 46th out of 341 teams in money raised ($1,247.66). Six of our riders raised over $100 each and 13 riders completed at least 100 miles on the Expresso bikes.

Here are the final fundraising and mileage leaders for the 2019 challenge:

  • Brooke Wiseman - $373.85
  • Dennis Stum - $170.06
  • Alex Hermel - $125.91
  • Karl Marchut - $117.33

If you missed out on this year’s rally, plan to join us in February 2020!
