Check in to Provide Safe Drinking Water in July!

posted by Michelle Bell | July 06, 2017

This July, we are excited to partner with H2OpenDoors to provide safe drinking water to people in need. H2OpenDoors is a program of The Rotary Club with a long term goal of providing access to clean, safe drinking water for one million people throughout developing nations. The team of volutneers at H2OpenDoors travel to areas of the world most in need of clean water and install a SunSpring water filtration system that will provide safe drinking water for 10,000 people every day for 10 years.

Every check-in this month will provide 100 gallons of safe water to someone in need. We hung an empty water jug that we hope to fill as our number of check-ins on Facebook and photo location tags on Instagram goes up during the month. Take 30 seconds to check in to Facebook each time you come to the Y so we can fill up the jug. And hopefully we can hang even more jugs to fill this month!

If you want to learn more about H2OPenDoors, you can check them out here. The hashtag this month is #givewater.

Thanks for checking in to give the gift of clean water!

P.S. If you haven't heard of Causely, here's how it works... Causely makes a donation to a great cause every time people check-in at our location. To learn more about Causely go here.
