Youth and Government

Do the inner workings of state government intrigue you? Would you like to learn more about how legislative bills become law? Youth and Government is a national program of the Y that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state-organized, model-government programs. Students from every corner of the U.S. have the opportunity to immerse themselves in experiential civic engagement. Teens meet throughout the year to discuss and debate issues that affect citizens of Pennsylvania and to propose legislation. The program culminates with teens serving as delegates at our state conference, debating bills on the floor of the legislature in the spring.

Join us at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 6, 2016 for an informational meeting where we will determine the meeting schedule for the year.
